Hello heat, you should have taken a long break

Wearing Hermes white shirt, Martin Margiela jeans, random online jacket, Proenza Schouler PS1 satchel, Alexander Wang boots

These boots and jeans have finally seen the light of day. I bought them both back in '09 and have refused to wear the boots because I have two left foot. I'm not sure if the boots are happier, or me. I succeeded in not inverting the heels and walking in them for 6 hours without a glitch.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been losing inspirations. It's the wicked warm weather. Actually, warm is an understatement. Or maybe it's time for a new hairstyle; at least that's something within my control. Might as well cop some cool
crops to beat the heat. Any suggestions?

Under the Milky Way

Wearing faux leather shift dress c/o Loui.G, mesh long sleeved dress by American Apparel, boots by Balenciaga

You know how sometimes you just can't seem to find that one simple wardrobe staple?
The precise and careful attention to details that makes a piece well, simply perfect.

Like how this dress from Loui.G is cut to embrace me without compromising on comfort, or how the finishing on the zipper is a subtle complement to the dress.
The icing on the cake? I am obsessed with all things stark clinical white.

You think you're not lacking of something until it comes along and catches you off guard.

How could I not have had this piece all this while?
The irony.

Lost when the wind blows

Wearing asymm shirt with sheer side from Beyond Black Dreams, jeans from Current Elliott, clutch from Taobao and Maison Martin Margiela Tabi boots.

Thanks to Fion of Beyond Black Dreams for this lovely dress. I wore it here as a top since I like it better when it drapes.
I grabbed this piece when the sun decided to shine its beams again after what seemed like a little too much rainy days.
Timely arrival along with my new coveted jeans and clutch.
A shout out to the gorgeous Hosanna too, for her help on scoring this amazing furry friend.

Sorry I'm a little late but nevertheless, a very Happy New Year to my amazing readers!
Thanks for being a part of my 20-11.
Wishing you sweet folks a spectacular 2012.

It's always darkest before the dawn

Wearing shirt from Feist Heist, Belt from Exhibit, Pants and Asymm Court Shoes from Zara

Serious brownie points for bold belts like this. You don't really need to crack your head on putting together an ensemble with a statement piece as such.
Don't you just rejoice when you find simple staples with a twist on details?
A plain white shirt that teases with a cut out back and sheer slit sleeves.
Cigarette pants with zipper details and subtle sheen. Easily a go-to for day-to-night basic.
A plain wide belt with chunky buckles. Two-in-one? How about double buckles for double the purpose. Makes a good weapon too, I say.
And alas, months of hopeless pursuit have not failed me after all.
Not the infamous Zara suede court shoes, nonetheless better and shinier.
Just perfect for the festive season and ushering in a brand new year.

Merry Christmas, everyone and wishing all a spectacular 2012!
xx

Not so basic basics

Givenchy panther iris t shirt

New in t shirt.
I rarely wear t shirts. But this is such a perfect over the top basic.
I wore it here over a chiffon shirt with leatherette collar from TSR and H&M leather shorts.
Saying that I'm obsessed with Givenchy is an understatement.
I wish I could own the entire collection.

New In

Prada SS10 plexiglass heel court shoes, Maison Martin Margiela nail oxfords, Prada SS11 brogues

Back in the days when retail therapy was a brick and mortar experience, one would have assumed that hibernation would do your wallet good.
Well, I'm not sure if these days, hibernation actually works the same wonder.
My attempt to steer clear of all the retail temptation got the better of my online frenzy, as I welcome 3 special steps to my collection.
As I type, I'm still ecstatic with a purchase I made mere minutes ago.
Riccardo Tisci gave me a whole new obsession with panthers and iris I never knew existed in me.

People look at us strange, they try to change it

Wearing vintage sequin jumpsuit

So I finally threw my procrastination out of the (salon) window and took a leap of faith.
Trust me when I say I teared a little when the stylist snipped off a long chunk of my locks. Yeah, I know. Cliche as it may sound.
I was still uncertain when I got back.

After 5 years of my mane caressing my arms; I was uninspired yet at the same time, anticipating something exciting.
And that calls for a change.
You know change is good when you start getting up on your feet to try new things.
