These boots and jeans have finally seen the light of day. I bought them both back in '09 and have refused to wear the boots because I have two left foot. I'm not sure if the boots are happier, or me. I succeeded in not inverting the heels and walking in them for 6 hours without a glitch. 

Sorry for the lack of posts. I've been losing inspirations. It's the wicked warm weather. Actually, warm is an understatement. Or maybe it's time for a new hairstyle; at least that's something within my control. Might as well cop some cool crops to beat the heat. Any suggestions?

You know how sometimes you just can't seem to find that one simple wardrobe staple? 

 The precise and careful attention to details that makes a piece well, simply perfect.

Like  how this dress from Loui.G is cut to embrace me without compromising on comfort, or  how the finishing on the zipper is a subtle complement to the dress. 
The icing on the cake? I am obsessed with all things stark clinical white.

You think you're not lacking of something until it comes along and catches you off guard.
How could I not have had this piece all this while?

Serious brownie points for bold belts like this. You don't really need to crack your head on putting together an ensemble with a statement piece as such. 

Don't you just rejoice when you find simple staples with a twist on details? 
A plain white shirt that teases with a cut out back and sheer slit sleeves.
Cigarette pants with zipper details and subtle sheen. Easily a go-to for day-to-night basic.

A plain wide belt with chunky buckles. Two-in-one? How about double buckles for double the purpose. Makes a good weapon too, I say.

And alas, months of hopeless pursuit have not failed me after all.
Not the infamous Zara suede court shoes, nonetheless better and shinier.  

Just perfect for the festive season and ushering in a brand new year.

I have been searching for the Celine denim shirt with no luck.

Not that it is any surprise given the global plethora of Phoebe Philo devotees.

I conceded defeat, just like I did with the infamous and iconic print silk blouse from Celine's SS11.

This two tone denim shirt however, would do for now.

Apparently the theme for Topshop Unique's SS12 collection is Ancient Egypt. There's certainly nothing ancient with what the high street style label rolled out. I have a thing for cut outs.

I had to get this Theyskens' Theory blazer the moment I saw it even though it was a size bigger.

The peaked cutout collar seemed like a modern take on the mandarin collar and the angular curved cut out back are just too genius to pass.

I absolutely love the bralette from Trooops.
It's kind of like a harness-bra with a cut out front and mesh detailing. I was on the hunt for a perfect bralette and

thanks to J and G, the lovely folks behind Trooops, I finally found it.

Lust sometimes get the better of one's senses.

Thankfully, these lustful desires were worthy pursuits.

Been lusting over this pair of Acne boots ever since they were released and I managed to score them on sale at oaknyc.

I was actually hesitant on getting the
JC Night Walk with its 6½" high height.
I kid you not but they are really comfortable and
you don't have to perform a balancing act in them.
I guess its the closest to feeling how Daphne Guinness
walks in her Nina Riccis.
Get a ½ size down if you are thinking of getting them.

Lastly, something subtle, the Dolce Vita pasha sandals.
Its definitely a pair I can just wear on a lazy Sunday, or grab if I am rushing out. Like now.

It's the same rant but the weather is really getting on my nerves.
I read about how many across the continent are soaking up the beautiful summer and finally able to dress light and breezy.
But when you have scorching sun beating down on you almost 365 a year, all I really wish is to be snuggling up to some cool cold season.

I need a getaway!
To someplace I can layer up clothes and wear a leather jacket!

For now, a leather shorts will do fine.

When J chanced upon this railway track, 
we knew it was a perfect photo op.

We found this quaint little soon-to-be-abandoned track after I had wrapped up a day's work.
It was a nice venture; akin to suddenly switching to my alter ego that was waiting to burst out of the corporate world.

I found out later, that by some sheer cosmic coincidence, that was the very last day one could track down that path.

The place was closed the very next day to remove the track.

I had a hard time getting my way down to the track and by the time we finished, it started to drizzle.

When I laid eyes on this vintage treasure of a dress,

Scored this A Wang bag off a sale and couldn't be more pleased.
I can't believe why it took me so long to get this gem.
This Gareth Pugh dress was also scored from a sale during my last trip to Hong Kong.
It's insanely long so I had to tie a knot to keep it off sweeping the streets.
I am now playing around with ideas on the versatility potential of this dress.

Bought this amazing Margiela top from my recent trip to Hong Kong at 30% off. Score.
I love how it's really a simple black top with detached sheer sleeves that drapes. Perfect for the scorching hot weather we're experiencing now.

After their take on the infamous spike bangle by Pamela Love, it is no surprise the collaboration of this 2 fashion powerhouses.

The collaborative collection debuts 19th May (26th in the US).
Consisting of 14 pieces, it is said to be inspired by native America and images of 1970s’ Gypsy Rockers.

I applaud the collaborative choice, given all the hippie rage of 70's revival. But save for the dreamcatcher series, the rest of the collection pales in comparison with the coveted main line that took the fashion world by storm.

I had wanted the ankle version of these Phi babies. But my search proved unfruitful. 
Then I saw these on clearance sale on Outnet. I thought, what the heck. WHACK!
I'm glad I did. 
Its sad that Phi is no longer in production cause they have such aesthetically pleasing shoes.
These babies are ridic comfy and.... ridic comfy. 
Please let me know if you do come by the ankle version.

 We loitered around the hotel shopping arcade and every time there was a photo-op (ie coast was clear of crowd), I stopped and posed like I was some caped crusader. 
No doubt we got us some funny stares.

I love how this dress makes me feel like a superhero.

I scored this amazing wrap dress on eBay, which is essentially a bed/lounge jacket.
It's amazingly comfy and I love its leather-like sheen.
The best part has to be that I got it for less than $20. Sweet.
The Gucci bag was nicely tucked away for too long and I decided it was time to give it some love.

J and I were too bored on a random weekend and decided to check out
the hyped Marina Bay Sands.
Its massive outdoor deck overlooking the city's financial district ended up being the backdrop of our photoshoot.
It had to be like scorching 34 °c that day with not even the slightest breeze.
I know it looks really windy but in fact we had to wait about 5 minutes per shot for the wind!
So every time there was, we went like "wind, wind, wind!" and I had to start posing with 3 seconds of tiny little breeze just so that J can capture my dress moving.

Its official, H&M is finally opening middle next year.
About time.

Wearing heather gray structured dress from eBay and boots from
Maison Martin Margiela.

The weather has been so unbearable of late. In fact, this tropical isle never really gave much opportunity to even consider layering. I've been dressing very much in one pieces. Easy to slip into, unrestricted movement and guilty as charged, my lazy excuse to not think too much into an outfit.
I wish we have 4 seasons just so we could throw on layers. Just so we could snuggle under a leather jacket. It's strange isn't it? I always hear how folks from cold climate places would trade anything to live in the tropics and vice versa.
I guess the grass is always greener on the other side, no?
